A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee. The actual movie doesn't live up to those high expectations, but it's far from being all bad. Desi Arnaz Jr. (!) plays an author who makes a crazy $20,000 bet with his publisher that he could write a great novel in only 24 hours. To do so, the publisher gives him the keys to an old abandoned house where he won't be disturbed. Not true. Once he gets there he is interrupted by a multitude of guests including a family which consists of John Carradine, Sheila Keith, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. They are gathered there in a twisted family reunion to release their brother from the room he's been imprisoned in for forty years. Even Christopher Lee drops by as Corrigan, the man who has just purchased the house. Soon, they realize that the caged brother is loose and out for revenge.
What a great plotline and what a dream cast! This movie should have been a hell of a lot better. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problems with the film, but I would venture to say that the lack of lighting was a major fault. Sure the house has no electricity but I think they took the title of the movie a little too literally. Scenes after scenes are barely visible and the actors' faces are undecipherable. Only the moments in the main dinning hall are well lit. Also, the great actors are given very little to do. Cushing gets a few chuckles as the scared brother but Price, Lee and especially Carradine are somewhat wasted here. Well, at least Price gets the best line of the film: `Please don't interrupt me while I am soliloquizing.' And on the plus side, the story has enough twists and turns throughout to keep one`s interest and the ending, while a bit of a cop-out, manages to surprise.

基努•里维斯一出场，有种John Wick乱入《黑客帝国》的感觉。龌蹉斯基与华纳互撕，她赌气拍片显得很酷这种行为并不能给影片加分，因为即使她使出真本事，这部影片大概率也会扑街。至于现在这个科幻巨作被拍成了中年男人去营救已婚情人的狗血剧，估计也只有龌蹉斯基想得出来。
你的脑海，庞大又疲惫，无法摆脱的暮年气质引力。60年后，在餐桌的对面再与你饮一杯咖啡，是否可以，所有我们的羁绊停留在这个体面时刻。预告片还真挺好看的
全片唯一的亮点来自第121分钟，尼奥一个标志性的帅动作没飞起来。

🎯主题主旨：
重要的不是谁会加入或回归，而是沃卓斯基姐妹对于这个不断进化的科技社会又有了什么惊为天人的新思考。
里面有大量的致敬前作的剧情画面，如果没看过前作直接看这一部那肯定看不明白，不过像我这种老粉大呼爷青回。剧情其实构建了3个世界，现实世界，虚拟世界，虚拟世界里让尼奥沉迷其中的游戏设计师世界，相应的“控制者”势力也有3个，机械乌贼，Analyst，裘德。令我感到意外的是史密斯为了反抗控制竟然会联合尼奥一起对抗控制者，大概是史密斯也不愿再甘心只当一段代码了吧。
哪有什么Paint the sky with rainbows,不过是Matrix制造的信息茧房
老李打不动了所以改用冲击波了，唉……这发型是为疾速4备的吧。重温了1-3后实在连三星都不想给。不过，这应该就是主创们想要的（彩蛋），把这shit扔还给华纳。
动作戏之敷衍让人不相信这是导演被逼骗钱都不行……看着蠢爆了，但一看是华纳又觉得正常操作，输麻了
拉娜·沃卓斯基抓住了我的命门，她想说的我都明白。如果我们追求的这样东西，真的在现实世界得不到也不存在，那也只是这个现实世界不够好，然而想让我拥抱粪坑，这不可能。我不在乎我永远也无法看山还是山，人生苦短，境界算个鸟。
把老掉牙的IP重拍一遍来凑数，剧情不够聊天补，五毛特效，拉胯的动作戏。58岁里维斯和55岁凯瑞-安两位老搭档有年头没见了，这个聊啊！3
时代变了，市场不景气了，我相信你能理解为什么我们心爱的母公司华纳兄弟，要决定制作三部曲的续集了吧，他们告诉我，不管有没有我们，他们都会做续集，如果我们不合作，他们会终止我们的合同。（导演值得一星，基努值得一星，其它没有值得一星的了）
好莱坞处在在一个不断拙劣地模仿自己从前模样的时代，这种模仿本身就构成一个矩阵了 何必还要追求一种表面的拟像呢？在各种铺天盖地的尴尬台词和子弹时间烂梗之后 片子朝着中年爱情与丧尸片的方向冲刺了起来……不能想象还能怎么更烂
而是身为一个黑客帝国三部曲的忠粉而言，从信仰上就绝不会承认这个4的存在。
第四面墙确实破了，期待的中年回顾
#2021.156#前半段对重启作的重构与批判以及结尾部分队矩阵世界的反思，还是有东西在里面的，还算个合格的续作。一直在想如果没有矩阵，尼奥和崔妮蒂又能成为谁呢？所以又想有能力又想有自由意志，好事儿都让你占了可还行？人生在世最后悔事之一，看过黑客帝国系列
