The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 导演和女主好评，至少情节露底之前导演还是很稳的。但结构和情节处理还是网大水平。

和Blake Lively几年前那部A Simple Favor放一起看很有趣，都是悬疑，都是闺蜜失踪……相比较之下，S那部就还是雌竞塑料姐妹叙事，这部则选择了显然更woke更女权的叙事，男人都恶心，唯一的好男是叙利亚难民……看完一查果然是女导演呢…

女主在惡劣天氣上山缺乏有力理由，使得一開始劇情就缺乏目的。之後為了脫險而遇險，為了製造援救難度而遇到個作死的人。最後兩人重逢一頓裝腔作勢的對白，就差一起去教堂找耶穌傾訴了
