The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 3.0。运用非布列松的表演方式和剪辑节奏，去表现布列松的电影内核，这是矛盾而无效的。除去鱼眼镜头带来的压迫感，整体极为散漫。

何必要这么讲故事呢？导演应该把自己家里都包上白布，然后拿个黑笔满屋子把意淫构思都画上涂鸦就好了，怎么还能拉投资，叫上几个演员呆若木鸡一样的演一场给观众看呢？
这片要放在二十年前绝对是部美式文艺神片，无论是男主的挑选还是整体的调调，都可以打满分的。可惜在短视频占统治地位的今天，节奏就稍微有些慢了，信息密度有些低，爽点不够多，也就是我这样的古董业余观影人才会喜欢点赞吧。而且还有一个硬伤就是，为了迎合美式的政治正确，非得整个肥黑女做女主，真是拉垮全片。如果换成一个金发白皮尤物，那这片几乎就没有任何缺点了。
关塔那莫和拉斯维加斯一次拉郎配组合。讲精于计算的人孤注一掷，作死的历程。一大堆赔率和赌技渲染无非反衬出最后男主非理性的抉择。保罗施奈德似乎擅长这类心执异念，飞蛾扑火的悲剧人物命运设计。
