The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 克隆人研究因为伦理问题戛然而止，电影把这个命题放在垂死之人的选择下。若你知道自己生命将至，而生者还有很长的路要走，那么你是否愿意接受被挚爱之人遗忘，独自承受孤独恐惧痛苦，而把欢乐希望幸福留给他们呢？卡梅隆回到家里，看到一切安好，跟孩子和妻子做了最后的告别，那段真的很感人。I love you，always have，and always will
其实是非常老学校的一部片子。不惊艳，不难看。
借用“克隆人替代”来表达人之将死的各种情绪变化，虽非新意十足，但影片营造的氛围和质感还是非常到位的，加上阿里平稳深邃的演出，本片能够在同话题电影中排位靠前。至于克隆和精神复制的科幻成分，其实仅仅用于打造故事背景，无法深究。特别是伦理方面，绝对不允许从肉身到精神完全一样的两个客观存在并行于市的！
不想去評判克隆人的道德云云，只是想知道，如果是為了愛，就可以無限延續嗎？只要有一絲的可能性，是不是都要盡一切所能嘗試？

导演对科技的幻想不够充分，又对人性的美好过于乐观。事实上，没有人会希望自己被“另一个人”彻底取代，甚至连自己的死亡都不在这世上留下任何痕迹。
科幻外壳下的温情片，人始终在学习的是道别。
