The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 2/26 @ Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. 最近新闻看的焦虑, 这一场及时给我打了一针强心剂. I am an islander, so should everybody.
该剧本很有国际化视野，讲述美国911时，38架飞机被迫降落在加拿大Gander小镇，7000多名世界各地的旅客滞留在此，小镇居民的慷慨热情感动了他们，在这里他们找到了一生的爱情、友情，人与人之间由隔阂转为彼此信任，音乐剧1小时起进入高潮，后面全是燃点，音乐好听感人，感觉可以反复听好多遍，最喜欢女机长单人solo那段，太霸气了。
真的好爱音乐剧....看到以前的同学把她简介改成artist/playwright真的emo了 羡慕可以追梦的人

刷了两遍，对照时局更加感慨，Prayer听得眼眶发热。几乎全程群像戏的剧本和舞台调度太好了。
911的20周年，因疫情擦肩而过的Come from away巡演，在此时完成。我还去查了一下纽芬兰岛的位置。希望能早日回归原版剧场
好看，音乐和故事层层递进。从纽芬兰的角度讲述了911事件的过程。整部秀当中不乏突兀政治正确之处，但还是从整个应急事件中看到对人的尊重。

第一次知道这个剧是网易云推荐了一段女机长的自白的唱段，从一路成长的热血沸腾到她听到911消息的落寞，让听者也跟着一路情绪过山车。后来看了录像的完整版本也觉得小镇居民，各个乘客很可爱。守望互助大抵如此了吧。刚看到come from away开始疫情后的线下售票了，可以规划一下了！
呜呜呜呜泪目了，什么时候国内也能有这种类型的优秀音乐剧……
感觉一般般吧，只有welcome to the rock比较好听。没有hamilton的前半部分好看。三星半

So Canadian! 没能在多伦多看现场也要加入多伦多遗憾清单了。
真正需要我们重视的东西，在come from away里面就展现出来了，灾难后，也许世界没有变得更好，歧视和战争还在，但我们更应该向这些islanders学习，不去想权谋和观点的碰撞，只有you’ve done the same. 经历过疫情发生的小城，当地人以自己的方式，不忍心医护人员吃泡面，从自家备好鸡鸭给他们送去。are we going to do the same?
二十周年，因疫情关停的十四个月，第一批重回百老汇的观众，和夭折的国内巡演...这一切都让人百感交集而在音乐响起那一刻落泪。即使在这样一个分裂的时代，也可以去相信人与生俱来的善意与爱的力量。Me and the sky依旧是最最最鼓舞人心的女性独唱
