The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 不再愤世嫉俗，的确是成熟大人的作品。再见了，所有的EVA。
两个半小时，前部不看着想睡觉，只想说终于看完了。前部分真嗣继续中二病末期。明日香塞饼给真嗣吃的那段，镜头晃动很棒，很少在动画里看到。乡间生活很温馨，找到自我的绫波丽爆炸让我有点难过。视觉效果看出成本很重，但真的看不懂。。。
虽然最后有点肉麻，但看下来还是意犹未尽。四幕戏中最喜欢第二幕，丽的自我觉醒和帮助真嗣走出自闭。四部剧场版最精彩当然还是《破》，最后一部能把中二风满满的第三部圆回来，也很完整了。

这稀烂的剧情是个EVA迷我也不好意思打五星哈哈哈，就这样的东西值得拍四部等那么多年？？？电影语言上新作的表现是贫瘠的，剧情也不连贯，看的时候几次看不下去。人物之间的设定联系也非常浅，剧情的发展和人物行为简直莫名其妙。
挥别后现代的青春世界，走进郁郁葱葱的后全球化世界，一起出站，一起携手。人类无需补完，要先爱自己。
