自由的代价高昂，这部电影在冲突中走向共识，底层人民的握手言和却无法让上层满意，因为他们要的就是冲突来巩固他们的统治。内奸的戏份对于剧情来说有些许多余，但依照事实改编，可能也无可奈何。
在“白人至上主义盛行”的国度，黑人肯定是最低贱的，可就算你是身居高位的白人，如果出言不逊，想做埋汰主义的事，那也得死。
